MSAA State 3D Archery Shoot

Aug. 7th, 2021 at 8am to Aug. 8th, 2021 at 1pm
140th Ave NE, Thief River Falls, MN

3D (3-Dimensional) archery is widely popular in Minnesota, and the MSAA puts together one of the best 3D tournaments in the state.

Like all MSAA tournaments, the State 3D travels from place to place and is hosted in Thief River Falls this year.  The 3D is a tournament that features realistic hunting situations where full-sized animals are the targets, and offers the very best with regard to family archery entertainment, with camping facilities often situated nearby.

3D is an outdoor activity where a participant walks a course stopping at shooting stations to shoot at animals along lanes that vary in distance to the target. There are usually about 30 shooting stations, and an archer should come prepared to shoot at targets that are anywhere from 10 to 50 yards away.  There are shooting markers placed at different distances depending upon the age division.

At the MSAA 3D the first score that is shot is the official score, but an archer may return and shoot the course again.

A benefit of shooting the MSAA State 3D is that memberships purchased at the event are not only good for the rest of the calendar year but also are good for the entire following year.  Guests (non-MSAA members) are welcome at this tournament and do not have to join to shoot, although they will not be eligible for MSAA awards.

The tournament format is known distances for ALL classes. Rangefinders are allowed.
